The
Rye PBA is sponsoring a Blood Drive at Rye
Recreation on June 25th from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.
The Blood Drive will be facilitated by the New
York Blood Center. Please consider making a
donation...you can SAVE A LIFE! If you have any
concerns about donating, you're not alone.
Please take a moment to read the attached
material - you might find it helpful! We need
to have at least 30 people pre-registered in
order to ensure that blood drive will take
place, so PLEASE call and sign-up today: (914)

We
are sad to report that Jake Chittenden's mom,
Joyce, has passed away. Arrangements are
pending, but there will be a wake on Tuesday,
June 1st and funeral services, Wednesday, June
2nd. More details to follow.
The
Rye Police Association wishes to pass on its
condolences to Jake and the rest of the
Chittenden family in this time of sadness.
Retirement News:
John
Hannah has retired from the Rye Police
Department. We wish John and his wife, Nancy,
all the best.

Another Retirement from Rye PD:
Det.
Gary Olivier has retired from the department
after more than 26 years of dedicated service.
His last day was officially April 27th. The
Association wishes him the best in his future
endeavors.
And............... Another retirement on the
horizon:
Ptl.
John Hannah plans to leave effective May the
28th. His retirement dinner will be on June
18th.

RESCHEDULED! ! ! !
The
benefit, originally scheduled for
February 26, 2010, at the White Plains
Outback Steakhouse, has been rescheduled
for Friday, March 5th. The event will be
held at the same time & place. Check our

info!

Benefit Lunch
Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance
On February
26, 2010 come to the White Plains
Outback Steakhouse located at 60 South
Broadway White Plains, NY. Outback will
be serving lunch and dessert to all
guests between the hours of 12-4 pm.
No reservations needed, just show up and
join us for lunch. The lunch and dessert
will cost $25. Outback Steakhouse will
in turn donate 100% of the money
collected and give it to the
Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance.
Every penny goes to FARA. They supply
grants to leading scientist looking for
a breakthrough that will help all people
affected with Friedreich's Ataxia.
